Diet for the 2nd Month of Pregnancy

The body of the baby is developing this month and calcium plays an important role for the harmonious development and health. Calcium helps bone formation and baby teeth, prevents hypertension and risk of postpartum depression at mom. So, this is the most appropriate time to make a calcium reserve.

Foods rich in calcium are dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt, etc.), fruits, vegetables (lentil, peas, beans, spinach, cabbage). Generally, the body uses more efficient the calcium coming from dairy products than the one of plant origin.

Menu for the 2nd Month of Pregnancy

- 1 cup of milk or tea
- 1 yogurt
- 1 orange
- 2 slices of bread with butter and jam

- cheese
- 1 apple

- Coleslaw
- Roast turkey
- Mashed potatoes
- Fruit salad

- 1 yogurt with crackers

- 1 slice of ham
- Pasta with parmesan
- Salad
- Applesauce
