Diet for the 4th Month of Pregnancy

Baby grows and the amount of blood in his body is growing. Starting this month the need of iron becomes more important. So, you should increase the amount of foods that contain iron. Iron is a precious ally: reduces the risk of anemia, fatigue, and that of premature birth. Note that animal iron is much better assimilated than that from vegetables.
Foods rich in iron: organs (liver, kidney), red meat (cooked to avoid the risk of toxoplasmosis), vegetables (lentil, peas, beans), green vegetables (spinach), egg yolks

Menu for the fourth month of pregnancy

Breakfast:
– 1 cup of milk or 1 yogurt
– 1 fruit or 1 fresh fruits juice
– Bread with butter and honey

Snack:
– Stewed fruits

Lunch:
– Tomato salad with olive oil
– Cottage cheese with walnuts

Snack:
– Boiled Eggs
– Orange juice

Dinner:
– Calf liver
– Cooked vegetables (peas, brussels sprouts, broccoli, spinach)
– Dried Fruits
