A lot of people include in their daily meals only certain foods that they consider to bring enough nutrients for their organism and do not bother with opening their eyes and ears for other types of food that might be quite healthier and tastier than they have ever thought.

This article is not necessarily about changing your lifestyle and eating habits, it is more about introducing ‘new’, yet ‘old’ aliments that a lot of us forgot to add in the weekly nourishment schedule.

5 key food you should eat:

1. Pumpkin seeds. As tiny as they are, they seem to have the most nutritious characteristic from all the pumpkin’s parts. They are rich in minerals and they have been proven to lower the early death risk in humans. If consumed in higher quantities they are of help for keeping intestinal worms away.

2. Beets. They have been discovered to prevent cancer due to their antioxidant properties. They also contain folates, potassium, calcium and iron (the last two elements are contained in the leaves and stems, so you should not throw them away when preparing beets). Do not worry if your urine might seem a little bit reddish after consuming beets. This is a normal thing given by betacyanin contained by this vegetable.

3. Plums. Some people prefer eating other fruits instead of plums, but what they are missing is: potassium and vitamin E. If you eat dried plums this is even better as they are rich in fibers and will help your intestinal transit. You can also try dry plums juice, this is a little bit too sweet for my taste, but some prefer it better than the fruit itself, so you can
try it out too.

4. Cinnamon and turmeric. These spices are great for preventing cancer and it is a pity that a lot of us have them in our kitchen but we use them so rarely. Add these spices to any vegetable dish and you will not only make your meal tastier but you will also maintain your health.

5. Blueberries. They are rich in iron and vitamin C. They are most useful against urinary tract infections, diarrhea, and for protecting the memory. Fresh or frozen, you can eat them all year long added in cakes, or yoghurt or just simple as you find them in nature.

This is only a short list of certain foods we ignore most of the time even though we have them in our own kitchen or we see them every morning at the grocery. A healthy lifestyle is not based only on keeping away from alcohol, carbs and smoking; it is also about introducing in your weekly diet new aliments that are known to be healthy.   1. i came to know jus reading your post that Cinnamon and turmeric prevents cancer.usually people are always busy in works and not caring about their own health but if we jus take a few minutes to care health then we get many simple ways to bring it better.
    one of the simple ways are now what you have given in this post.
