The manifestation of irritable bowel syndrome – IBS

IBS is manifested by several signs that vary in severity from person to person, such as pain in lower abdomen, bloating after eating, eliminating excessive gas, constipation alternating with diarrhea, noisy stomach, the feeling that the gut never empties and mucus in the stool.

How to prevent IBS?

Eat relaxed, slowly, savoring the food. Do not force yourself to eat if you are not hungry and stop when you have eaten enough. It is good that at least once a day to drink a vegetable juice.

As with constipation, consumption of foods containing more fiber (fruits, vegetables and whole grains) is very helpful. But the fibers do not dissolve (rice, nuts, bread and foods containing wheat or rye or peel and pits) may worsen symptoms. In this case use soluble fiber from cleaned fruits and vegetables, peas and beans or oat bran, the fibers soothing the digestive tract and increasing the volume of seats.

Regular exercise favors the activity of intestinal muscles, thereby preventing occurrence of SCI. Make a half hour of moderate exercise such as walking pace. Also avoiding stress and smoking lead to a good bowel function (which stimulates the release of excess adrenaline that affect the regular contraction of the intestines).

Remove from eating wheat, cheese, dairy, eggs, corn, processed foods, sugars, margarine, red meat, alcohol and coffee. They will burdening the digestive system resulting in more difficult bowel movements.

How to treat IBS?

Besides the above diet (which is very important both for prevention but also for treatment), we will present a series of natural remedies with exceptional results:
1. The best plant treating SCI is gentian root. Put 30 drops in a glass of water and drink before meals.
2. Peppermint relaxes muscles and relieves pain accompanied by bowel gas elimination. You can drink 1-2 cups of mint tea a day or add fresh mint leaves in salads or dishes.
3. To calm inflammation, consume the tea made from the combination of chamomile, peppermint, agrimony and mallow up to 6 times a day.
4. Cinnamon and ginger soothes abdominal pain and help eliminate gas. Add a pinch of this spice powder into a porridge.
5. To prevent constipation, use aloe vera juice or gel plantain seeds (add 2 teaspoons of seeds in half cup water, leave 30 minutes, then drink).
6. Vitamin B complex (50 mg daily) helps break down food in the gut.
7. Eat flaxseed (1 tablespoon sprinkled on a salad) or linseed oil (2 tablespoons per day).

- To relieve diarrhea put 2 drops of peppermint oil and tea tree oil with 3 drops of sandalwood oil per tablespoon of grape seed oil or sweet almond oil. Massage with this combination the abdomen and lower back with slow movements.
- If the condition is worsened or caused by stress take a relaxing warm bath, adding in the water 3 drops of juniper berry oil (avoid in pregnancy) and 2 drops of peppermint oil.
